The All England Club has announced that Wimbledon is going 3D. Exciting isn’t it. The Men’s semi-finals and finals, as well as the Women’s Final will be aired in 3D in certain cinemas around the world. Wimbledon and Sony recently reached a deal that would allow for 100 plus mph serves headed right into your living room.
Wimbledon officials have been boasting that they represent a rich, storied tradition, but are also on the cutting edge of innovation. Sort of like casual on the outside, party on the inside.
Even though I poke fun, this actually could be fantastic. I think Tennis is one sport that 3D could enhance viewership significantly. If this becomes a success, expect this to spread like wildfire. It was only a matter of time. You know as well as I do that 3D will be in every sport somehow someway in the future.

George Steinbrenner, rest in peace, really doesn’t have a good reputation. He certainly doesn’t have a good reputation with people who don’t know much about him. Before anyone goes jumping to conclusions maybe you should read up on the man.
I guess this was a compliment right? Anyone who takes a $8.8 M entity and turns it into over a billion dollars has to be regarded as one hell of a businessman right? Ok, maybe that’s not it. I got it. Steinbrenner donated millions of dollars to charity and touched the lives of many people in need. There we go the Iranian President is a philanthropist. False.
Nope, this have everything to do with “The Boss” ruling with an iron fist. It has everything to do with Steinbrenner’s meddling in team affairs, investigating players, and ruthless determination to be number 1. Steinbrenner never had a penchant for keeping his mouth shut. So, yes there are many connections to the Mr. Ahmadinejad.
I tell you man these Wikileaks. I think El Pres from Iran isn’t of any quality, but there’s really no need for this nonsense. I mean the owner of the Yankees and the President of Iran? Doesn’t even make sense, the Yankees win championships, are elite every year, are one of the top revenue generators in all of sports. Don’t slight The Boss like that.
Think about this… These commercials aired when we were kids. As young impressionable kids, we thought the world of these guys. Little did we know years later they’d be more disliked than we could imagine. At the time, they were marketable guys.
I would venture a guess that these guys couldn’t get a commercial deal if their lives depended on it. The commercials are still pretty funny. Times have changed….
