Every morning when the news article goes up, we tried to find a unique story that appeals to the curious public. It’s all drama and nonsense. There wasn’t much to write this morning, but there really was…..
The Knicks are back in the playoffs, which is interesting, but doesn’t come close to this story. Maya Moore’s career at UCONN ended last night with a loss to Notre Dame in the National Semi-final. I know it’s not the sneaky athlete drama you were looking for, but out of pure respect for the athlete we’re writing this article.
Maya Moore was the best. There was no other athlete that compared to her in women’s college basketball. She played 154 games, and lost 4. She’s won two national titles and collected a sickening amount of hardward. She’s been an AP All-American 4 Times, Big East Player of the Year 3 times, the Wade Trophy 3 times, and the list goes on… Incredibly she’s the seventh player all-time to score over 3,000 points. 3,000.
I understand the Women’s Basketball isn’t the most popular sport today, but I think it’s nice to give her some recognition. The fact of the matter is; it is college basketball, and we were witness to the greatest player of all-time.
