We are officially two for two in Fantasy Baseball spot starts so far. Surely, I’ve rode Josh Tomlin until he was over 40% owned in leagues, but hey you can’t fault me. The guy is good. He’s off the board now, no more Joshy T. So we move on. This week it’s between Homer Bailey of the Reds and Tyler Chatwood of the Angels.
Homer Bailey (5/10 vs. Houston) – Bailey turned out a gem in his first start of the season last week. I feel like we’ve waited years for this guy to come into his own. Is this the year? To be determined. However, his start against Houston this weeks looks delicious.
Tyler Chatwood (5/11 vs. Chisox) – Chatwood had a nice amount of hype coming up in the organization. He was AWFUL to start the season and took one on the chin when he started for sick Jered Weaver. His start after that was awesome. Here’s the good news. He started against the White Sox already this year and owned them. The team flat out can’t hit.
The Verdict: I’m going to go ahead and say pick up Bailey and hold him. He could be good to have in your rotation going forward. I love his start this week, and he’s only 13% owned. Chatwood isn’t a long term hold, but could be serviceable this week. Godspeed.
