Let me preface this article by saying; I’ve watched Jorge Posada since he broke into the big leagues. If you watched him last year you saw what I saw. The guy couldn’t catch a Babe Ruth game. Jorge is a very proud man. He’s also not a self-aware man. Like many athletes of his time, it’s time to realize, but he doesn’t,  to call it a day and ride off into the sunset. Jorge, buddy, you are cemented into Yankee lore. You are a Yankee legend, do you realize how special that is? You gave your heart and soul to this team, and every Yankees fan knows it and loves you for it. Don’t ruin it now. Be careful.

If you followed the saga this weekend, you know it ended with Posada apologizing to the team and Joe Girardi for his actions Saturday. I understand Jorge is frustrated and very down right now, but don’t ruin your legacy. Don’t spoil the fact that you are going to be welcomed back into Yankee Stadium for the rest of your life. If Jorge doesn’t smarten up and come to accept that his time is done, he will continue to weather the strong sentiment Yankees fans have for him. You did what you did, you said sorry. Going forward you need to play when your in the lineup, bust your ass, and what will be what will be. Do this, and I promise you you’ll be given the departure that players dream of when they retire from the Yankees. Just be careful, it would be the biggest regret of your life if you ruined that moment.

As many domestic leagues near their end, it’s time to evaluate which five clubs were the best of the best. The season proved to be one of the better years of soccer for most leagues around the world. At this point, many things are yet to be decided in terms of Europe, not even including the Champions League Final, which will take place Saturday, May 28th.

There is no country bias here whatsoever. We at Unathletic have no favorites, just a stern appreciation for soccer around the world. Of course, some great teams are going to be left out. My apologies.

Here are the 5 best Clubs in the world……

Barstool New York ran this video about a week ago, and I’m not letting it die. The video is absolutely hilarious. I’m not going to lie, if I never saw this video and this happened to me that would be a rap. I would have a heart attack. Then the people coming out of the walls, oh man. Hilarious it happened to someone else. The Japanese element definitely makes it more funny. Just saying.

Pau_Gasol_9

Pau has had a rough time in the news the past few weeks, so why not give him one more shot. The guy makes some pretty gnarly faces during any given game. I know it’s been a rough few weeks Pau, it’ll end soon, I promise.

My bet is this uy makes more funny faces than anyone in the league.  Want to see?

Sad story out of the world of basketball. Traylor was just too young. It always makes you wonder about athletes and their size, and what they may be doing to themselves. Sad. RIP Big Guy.
