I was looking for some inspiration for today’s article and stumbled upon this website. (World’s Highest Paid Athletes) In the article it lists various countries around the world and which athletes are the wealthiest from the respective countries. It’s pretty interesting. Pictured above is Andrew Bogut. He’s Australia’s richest athlete at $11 million.

Take a look at some other countries and their richest athletes…..

(10) Argentina – Carlos Tevez – Manchester City: $19 M

(9) Canada – Jason Bay – New York Mets: $18 M

(8) China – Yao Ming – Houston Rockets: $17.7 M

(7) Cuba – Yuniesky Betancourt – Milwaukee Brewers: $4.3 M

(6) England – Lewis Hamilton – Formula One: $18.5 M

(5) Fiji – Vijay Singh – PGA: $1.3 M

(4) Germany – Dirk Nowitzki – Dallas Mavericks: $17.3 M

(3) Mexico – Jorge De La Rosa – Colorado Rockies: $10 M

Pathetic list. Where’s your research? I don’t know about Fiji or Uganda, but every other country has far richer sportsmen. What a waste of time.

Not counting endorsements here, the numbers represent salary from the sport. Tiger hasn’t made much actually golfing lately right?

Messi makes $31 million a year, Kobe Bryant makes $53 million a year and Wayne Rooney from England makes $20 million a year

Lewis Hamilton is not an athlete and driving a car isn’t a sport.
