I was watching the Shaquille O’Neal retirement press conference last week. Then I had the pleasure of landing on ESPN 2 for a few seconds to listen to Skip Bayless talk about how Shaq ate his way out of his career. I don’t necessarily agree with that, but it did make me realize or shall I say appreciate just how big Shaq is. The guy is gigantic. I’ve known it all along, but I finally really appreciated it last week.

Seeing I am in baseball mode, it made me think who are the big boys of baseball. The top 5 heavy weights. Take a look…..

(5) Prince Fielder – Milwaukee Brewers

The runt of the litter is Prince Fielder. Not eclipsing 6′ at 5’11″ but busting the scale at 275 lbs.

(4) Jeff Fulchino – Houston Astros

The unknown Houston reliever makes the list at 6’5″, 284 lbs. Probably his most notable stats.

(3) Adam Dunn – Chicago White Sox

The Big Donkey tips the scales at 287 lbs, and reaches 6’6″ into the atmosphere. When he connects he hits like he’s one of the biggest players in the MLB.

(2) CC Sabathia – New York Yankees

The big Yankees hurler checks in at 6’7″, 290 lbs. You wonder how long his body will be able to go….

(1) Jonathan Broxton – Los Angeles Dodgers

Remember when Jonathan Broxton was the most dominant closer in baseball. Well, it was only for a second so probably not. He’s now dominating the big man contest. He tips the scales at 300 lbs, but only 6’4″.
