Week 2: Josh Tomlin – 7 2/3 IP, 3 Hits, 2 Runs, 5 K’s
Week 3: Homer Bailey – W, 7 IP, 5 Hits, 0 Runs, 5 K’s
Week 4: Josh Collmenter – W, 6 IP, 2 Hits, 0 Runs
Week 5: Erik Bedard – W, 6 IP, 6 Hits, 4 Ks
Week 6: Phil Humber -W, 7 2/3 IP, 5 Hits, 5 Ks
Week 7: Jonathan Niese – W, 6 1/3 IP, 5 Hits, 2 ER, 4 K

We had sort of a pedestrian week last week, but Niese brought you a WIN, great WHIP, and a little ERA help. Either way, the numbers don’t lie my friends, we are rolling. We’re still waiting for that call from Yahoo Fantasy Sports.

Why Jake Arrieta - Jake is sort of an enigma. Sometimes hes the man, lately he’s been kind of a chump. He’s been pretty good the past 2 times out after a rough patch. I’ll take the matchup vs. Pittsburgh away and take a shot. His numbers aren’t anything to smile upon, but he can win on the road, and the potential here is too great to ignore. He pitches tonight so get a move on…

Why Colby Lewis – Lewis has been a throw-away in many leagues. It really depends when you see him. Unfortunately, I’m breaking the rules here because he’s 50% owned in most leagues, but this is the start I want. He’s free in my league. If he’s free in your league snatch him up. He’s a K pitcher, and this should be a guaranteed WIN with good numbers.

The Verdict – I broke the rules for the guy so you have to pick him up. I like Lewis against Houston here A LOT. I want an add an hold my friends. I apologize if he’s owned in your league, but he’s a great pull on Wednesday after that 10 strikeout game.
