We tend to get carried away in moments, but I think it was Mark Jackson last night that said that Dirk is now a top 20 player in the NBA All-Time. I wanted to hear thoughts on this one. I’m ok with it, but it seemed a little aggressive. Either way, I’m happy for him.

When does Yahoo Fantasy Baseball give me a job?? Just kidding. Here is this week’s showdown….
Why Juan Nicasio? Nicasio is an interesting case. His first start he owned St. Louis, his next two have been decent. I think the fourth time around he does the job. Now this isn’t the San Diego Padres of old, but they still aren’t the Red Sox. In Colorado, I expect decent numbers all around, a higher strikeout rate, and a W for sure.
Why Jonathan Niese? Niese is only 21% owned in Fantasy Leagues. He’s been freakin’ awesome in his last 5, and his strikeout rate has been great. Atlanta either gets you or they don’t. On the road in Turner Field should be a safe play for Niese.
The Verdict – Take Niese to the bank. He’s been awesome of late, and he’s only 21% owned. He should pitch a very good game, but I’m not optimistic about the win. If you want a win take Nicasio, if you want great numbers all around and a chance for a win take Niese. I like Niese in this spot.
Lebron use to be a nice, loveable guy when he played for the Cavaliers. He was suppose to take them to the promiseland and set up his own legacy. It was really hard not to like the guy. I’m a pro-MJ guy, but I really never had a beef with Lebron until the whole Decision/Heat nonsense. I would be willing to guess that if he had to choose all over again he would choose differently.

Of all the NBA Finals Photoshops I’ve seen thus far, this one has to take the cake. Like I said the other day, part of me almost feels bad for Lebron but remember that it’s “almost.” Making over 50MM in a season makes me feel nothing for the man. Well, he’s still a kid. Perhaps this loss will man him up a bit.
Or maybe not! I’m sure by now you’ve heard that Lebron is lashing out out fans and telling them to “worry about your own personal problems.” The funny thing is that technically he’s right. I mean unless you bet your life savings on the finals, the outcome doesn’t really affect your life all that much.
“All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. So they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they got to get back to the real world at some point.”
I think we both know how stupid it is to make those comments public. Jesus as much as I don’t even want to talk about Lebron it’s nearly impossible not to. If it were me I’d just retire and play in Italy or something.
Dude, I’m not a Khloe Kardashian hater. Everyone else seems to be. I mean she’s not like Kim or Kourteney, but I definitely wouldn’t kick her out of bed. I love how everyone is like, “what the hell is Lamar Odom thinking?” Bro, have you seen Lamar Odom. He’s Shrek of the human world.
Take a look at the third Kardashian sister….

I wouldn’t go as far as to say these are “one hit wonders” because they are not. Every female that I am about to mention is extremely hot in their own right. But do you realize how many attractive women are out there? And how few attractive female athletes there are? Point being, if you’re attractive and a pro athlete all you need is a little break and you’ll get noticed.
The good thing is that for many women they don’t even have to be all that great in their sport to have a phenomenal career. Endorsements hold on to their beauty and enrich these women’s lives. By no means is this a bad thing. It’s just the way it is. Sex sells people. Sex sells.
Below you’ll see seven examples of women who got attention in their sport but never really dominated, yet it didn’t matter. Their looks showed them the way….
It’s only fitting that I finish off what I started. Christmas came early for this handsome blogger. I wrote a while back that I did not want to see the Heat or the Capitals win their respective championships. First the Caps went down, then last night the Mavericks won the NBA title by beating the Heat in 6 games. I was very happy to see Dirk win his first NBA title. His emotional response alone after the game justified to me the fact that Lebron did not deserve to win.
So, it’s over. Lebron got totally punked, and will continue to get crucified for this series. D. Wade is out of sight out of mind for a while. And Chris Bosh, oh Chris Bosh… Well he’s dramatically falling to the floor in the hallway crying over the loss. I’m a gambling man, so I would bet that when Lebron went to bed last night, and this may be the case for many nights this year; he was second guessing his decision to join the Heat.
I think if Lebron had the choice he would certainly do it all over again. Keep in mind, you will never hear him say this until he’s retired, but I can’t imagine him being happy with what transpired. He’s the villain, he’s not himself on the court, nobody wants him to win, and he’s now got the reputation of a playoff punk that can’t even be compared to Kobe Bryant let alone Michael. If Lebron went to the Knicks, or Bulls and they were in the Finals with the Mavericks and lost, no matter how he played he’d be looked at differently. It’s a shame because Lebron could be the greatest talent that ever played the game. Overall, I think in terms of his image, who he wants to be, and how he wants to be remembered the Heat decision was an awfully poor one.
There is something to be said about signing your first contract in the NBA. I understand it comes with tons of fame and money. I’ll also understand there is something pure about NCAA basketball that does not exist in the NBA. With that said, there have been a few players in my lifetime I loved in college, but once they entered the NBA they became people I despise. Money, Fame, Power…. it corrupts even the purest of hearts.
Here are my 5, I’d love to hear some input on this one….
