I’ve been a Yankees fan since I was born. I’ll always be a Yankees fan. But the older I get the more I can appreciate individual players. And while Dustin “Petey” Pedroia has been somewhat of a fantasy baseball let down so far (even though he’s leveling off and will be fine) he remains and will most likely remain one of my favorite players in the league.
How can you not like this guy? He’s 5’8, yes 5’8 and weighs under 160 lbs and is this good a baseball player. But that’s not even what kicks ass about him. He’s pretty much bald already and the dude has an ego the size of the moon.

The following point is indisputable. You have to be pretty freekin’ hot to not even have a starring role, but be easily recognized by your character’s name. How many times do you hear, “Dude how hot is Sloan”. Entourage isn’t even about Sloan, but because Emmanuelle Chriqui is so freekin’ hot she’s made the character legendary. And with that, she’s made herself a wet dream for men around the world.

River Plate was one of the most successful teams in the history of Argentinian Club Football. The recent relegation of the club will be the first time they are not in the top flight in their 110 year history. To no one’s surprise, after the game there were riots.
This wasn’t an insane riot. To be honest with you, I don’t really understand it. Here is another video that shows more of the “riot”. Couple things of note: (1) The water hoses. In the stadium and outside the stadium in those tank looking things. I’m not going to say getting drilled with hundred of pounds of water feels good, but is this seriously the method the Argentinian Police use. The hose you down if you start to act up. I particularly enjoyed the hosing within the stadium. It didn’t even look like crazy stuff was going down. It was a preemptive hosing. (2) River Plate has been in the top flight for 110 years. They have been wildly successful. I understand the fans are upset, but the team has been good for you. It’s going to be ok. It’s just one year. Hopefully.
So as we move on we must note that “rioting” in the new in thing. Your team loses, f$%k it riot. The good thing about Miami Heat fans is they don’t know their asses from their elbows in sports so the city of Miami will always be safe from big losses. Fuggin’ rioting. What’s next? Genital mutilation if your team loses.
It’ll be interesting to see how Wimbledon plays out. I think we’re all obviously hoping to see Nadal and Federer meet yet again. When you think about it, it’s been one hell of a last 4-5 years in the sport. These two guys have been dominating like nothing we’ve seen since Sampras and Agassi but even those two weren’t nearly as dominant.
In any event, it brought to might an interesting topic. I was thinking of tennis players who actually influences and changed the sport of tennis.

I was in the mood for this blog today. It’s not like I’m finding new videos here, but these interviews never get old. The NFL seems to produce amazing videos, but other sports have made their mark as well. You need a fine mix of spazzing to get on this list. The amazing part is sometimes these interviews just happen out of nothing. All of them have phrases that will last forever in sports. I won’t bore you with my words anymore. Hopefully these help get through the Monday..

Not bad by Collison here. I like the kid. He seems like a pretty good dude. He can’t sing for sh$t, but he was a good sport about it. He’s also doing pretty damn well in the league. (I know this video was from a couple years ago) I’m just saying I like the kid.
I would imagine by now that the amount of coverage of the Vancouver riots and all around hilarity surrounding Canucks Nation would have died down a bit. I guess it technically has but that doesn’t mean we can’t still make fun of the situation.
And hopefully we’ll be making fun of it for a while. I mean I can’t stand hockey so this is great for me. Anyway, in an obvious move, somewhat recreated the Canucks logo to look a little more appropriate for next season. Thanks guy!
