It’s pretty easy to pick up a baseball bat and swing it. Even if you do it all wrong there’s a chance you can hit the ball. Just about anyone can try and tackle a person to the ground. Most people can learn to throw something quite easily. Hoisting up a basketball and trying to get it in doesn’t require a ton of skill.
Hell you can do it underhand, overhand and any which way. Some sports are just easy to learn. I didn’t say they’re easy to get good at. Just easy to learn.
However some sports are damned hard to learn. Here are six that come to mind…
Golf

Perhaps I’m a little biased here because I’m just learning golf in the past few months. But honestly Golf is one game where there are zero shortcuts. There’s just no way you can be good at Golf for at least a year. Every single iron nearly requires a different positioning. And let’s not even talk about the driver. That takes years to master. Putting? Forget about it. Plus Golf is one of the few games where one tiny tweak can set your whole game off (in the wrong direction).
Billiards/Pool

This is a tough finesse game that takes years to master. It’s one thing to hit a ball in. It’s another to set yourself up for the next shot which most people never try or care to do. But that’s the real art of the game. That entails learning how to put all types of spin (english) on the ball as well as master speeds with the pool cue. It’s incredibly difficult.
Lacrosse

Lacrosse is one of the few sports that requires a fair amount of skill with both hands. Not too many sports can say that. You have to learn to cradle the ball in both directions and that can be extremely frustrating with your weak hand. Plus it’s not that easy to thrown the damned thing, not to mention whiz it at the net with perfect accuracy.
Hockey

Hockey is a sport where you have so many different skills to learn just to play one sport. You have to know how to ice skate which is crazy hard on its own. Then you have to learn to use the stick which is another. Hell you even have to learn how to fight and hit properly. While I don’t like the sport, I respect it a ton.
Boxing

Fighting is one thing. Boxing is another. Anyone can punch a person but the actual sport of boxing is extremely tough. First of all it’s easily one of the most tiring sports out there. Second of all it requires a tremendous amount of footwork and balance. It’s not just throwing punches. It’s moving around in a very calculating way.
Wrestling or Martial Arts

Think Boxing only using your entire body to do the hitting and grabbing.
