The Mavericks got their championship rings afterall. After Mark Cuban went public saying he was thinking of something different to honor the team because rings were “old and outdated”, the team still ended up with rings… sort of.

Bazooka the famous candy company that makes Ring Pops has decided they’ll take the lead with the Dallas Mavericks and make their rings. The company really felt that the team deserved to be rewarded for their hardwork and will be shipping the rings to the team shortly.

That’s neat, but you still have to believe Cuban is going to blow this thing up. The rings are a nice, funny gesture, but Cubes is getting something for his team. Believe it, and it’s going to be big. My hope is that Bazooka doesn’t try and take the championship ring market over and do this all the time. It was funny and cute once, but it’s really a one shot deal.

I’ll never be the guy who wears face paint.  I’ll never be the person who wears a letter and is part of the row of people spelling a word each person wearing a little.   Hell I don’t wear hats or even the logo of a team I’d be going to see.  I’m a sports fan but I’m not one of these folks.

I have nothing wrong with these people.  It’s just not for me.   So in honor of the great sports fan, I’ve put together a fun little gallery for all of you.

Enjoy dedicated sports fans after the jump…..

Just know that the camera will find you when you’re puking during a game. Maybe even the jumbotron too? If you’re Matt Ryan on the sidelines, or McNabb at the line of scrimmage. The camera WILL find you if you’re puking during a game. You’d think it would happen more often, especially in football. It really never ever happens in basketball. Football is the special sport designated for in-game puking.

What about baseball? Say you’re in the outfield in the middle of an inning and that bad Chinese food kicks in from the night before what do you do?? I’m surprised that hasn’t happened once.

Here are some in-game puking moments..

It’s Friday, no need to go crazy with sports news today. Lots of sports on tap this weekend, and a big week next week. We should be good with news. Have a nice weekend folks.

The Press

Michael “Benedict Arnold” Phelps is dating a Canadian [WithLeather]
Jenny Poussin is quite busty, and beautiful [RegretfulMorning]
Only 22% of Floridians like Lebron James [TerezOwens]
Clooney’s ex-babe in a white bikini. Holy hell [TotalCrap]
Taylor Momsen concerts look like they’re off the chain [Barstool]
Mets’ Reyes told to rest another 3 weeks [ESPN]
Diane Kruger is awesome dude, just awesome [BroBible]
Have you ever been this drunk? [Attuworld]

This is just a horrible effort at a joke. I’m sure the guy got reprimanded for this. The guy is Mark Grant, a former pitcher for the San Diego Padres, not a former comedian. The sponsor is Cox communications. Nice try Mark, keep pluggin.

I’m not a big fan of car racing.   I’ve been to a race and I’m quite certain that aside from the crazy people at the infield there’s really nothing interesting to watch.

However, once in a while you might catch a glimpse of something like this.   When something like that happens it makes you rethink your dedication to NASCAR or Indy Racing.

Still though, I think this picture is good enough for me, thanks.

If only my blog could reach the entire world. Selita Ebanks could be one of the most underrated chicks in the world. How many times do you hear someone say, “Damn, how hot is Selita Ebanks?”. The answer is close to never. Fuggin’ Nick Cannon hit it.  This chick is absolutely stunningly gorgeous. Don’t believe me?

Take a look at the photos…

I think there are many of is that are in the same camp when it comes to the All-Star Game.   Many of us have problems with the same key issues.   One of them clearly being the selection process.  Unfortunately it’s a popularity contest and some players don’t get in even though they should.  Granted many players are deserving but some simply aren’t (Derek Jeter).

Then there’s the issue of the winner of the game determining home field advantage.  I just have a problem with this.   How about the team with the better record?  Why try and be all special with this rule?  It’s dumb.

But alas, I don’t want to get too negative.  There’s also stuff to like about the game and I decided to highlight five reasons to actually watch it this year.  By the way, Bleacherreport had their reasons too.   We just think ours might be a bit more fun….
