It was a long time coming, but if any of you recall, Bill Russell is finally getting a statue. And if you any of you remember Kareem bitching about two months ago on the subject you’ll know that statues have been a topic of debate.
Personally I think a huge deal should be given on a statue. Cam Newton for example sure as hell didn’t deserve one. They should be reserved for not only the game’s best but also the best people. They have to be good humans, you know?
Here are eight exceptional athletes that I think will get their own statues…
The NFL labor dispute seems to be a done deal, so we’re going to get some football this year friends. It’s like a warm blanket knowing I’ll have my favorite time of year; the Fall. College and NFL football, and postseason Baseball. Feels good. So with that said, you are going to see a frantic few weeks when NFL operations resume.
The free agent market isn’t terrific this year, but there are some key players that will certainly help your team. Unathletic has examined the market, dissected the players, and really looked at which teams will be major players. I don’t expect heavy fireworks, but there could be difference makers.

It’s very tough to pick a side in this argument. (A) The NFL players willingly and knowingly took the field, with full understanding of the risk associated with playing. (B) These players essentially risked their lives for the NFL and the NFL doesn’t do much to take care of them when it’s all said and done.

What the hell is this? What was that? Was she jumping? Was she trying to click her heals together and end up on the finish line. I mean I don’t get it. How can you try and come off attractive or even cool after this move? I hate this thing. This chick could never ever be hot, not matter how big her bust after this happened.
I have all the respect in the world for womens sports. They put in the time just like men and there’s no discounting that. But when “women” stuff gets in the way of the sport? That’s kind of where I draw the line. Let us take boxing for example.
New Rule: Do not attempt to fix your breasts in the middle of a bout. Sure, as a female, you may fear that one, or both, of your friends could pop out of your sports bra at any moment but wouldn’t you rather have your breasts knocked out of your shirt, as opposed to having your head knocked off your body?
This is brutal.

Mallory Snyder will always have a special place in my heart. She and Missy Peregrym are my special favorite chicks of all-time. You never hear anything about Mallory Snyder anymore. She’s obviously too classy to pop up on one of those MTV Challenge shows. I think she needs more attention, so I’m going to give it to her.

I’m going to go off on this one probably a little more than I should. Shaquille O’Neal is just so tired man. His act is just so old. He’s like the American Pie movies. The first one was hilarious, then it just got worse and worse and worse until you couldn’t stand the sight of it.
The worst part is he’s already trying to be like Charles Barkley. I think Charles is a lowlife, but his commentary is highly entertaining. Earth to Shaq; there is already one Charles Barkley. We don’t need you trying to imitate him. But that’s just what he did last night when he called the Miami Heat the “Big 2″

I really don’t see the need to take a pointless shot at Chris Bosh. I really don’t. Everyone who remotely knows sports knows he’s not Lebron, and he’s not D-Wade. This is just awful absolutely awful. Shaq was worth watching when you were 11-years old. His act is so tired. He’s not funny, and if he’s going to try and be like Charles then it’s going to irritate me even more.
It’s been a pretty big week for women’s soccer, and before the wind dies down on this storm we here at Unathletic want to keep things rolling. I have no idea what’s in store for the USA team but clearly we’re hoping for some magazine spreads.
I mean after losing that heartbreaking loss these girls are gonna have to try and cash in. As far as ideas go, it would be nice to see the women pose in awesome soccer jerseys.
