Athletes are notorious for having some of the worst tattoos ever created. I did an article on Chris Bosh’s latest ink earlier this week and I decided to take a small glimpse at other tattoos in the league.  It’s just inexplicable to me. A tattoo here or there is acceptable, but what the hell were these guys thinking? I guess we really won’t have to worry about seeing the NBA tattoos with these guys being locked out.

Here are some horrific ones..

1.) Kenyon Martin pays homage to his girlfriend Trina with “Red Lips”. Not a bad idea, the lips could pay homage to every girlfriend. Safe play by Kenyon, much better than her name.

2.) Stephen Jackson‘s “Praying Hands with a Gun”. Stephen Jackson is like really religious and stuff….

3.) Deshawn Stevenson‘s “Name and Number”. Neat design, good thing he won’t ever play for the Yankees.

4.) Vince Young‘s “V. Young” You should have seen him trying to look down his back when he was filling out the information sheet before the SAT’s

5.) Mike Bibby‘s “Basketball and Hoop”. Clearly, this tattoo artist wasn’t a sports fan. This has to be one of those times when you look at the tattoo and go “F$ck, that sucks dude”

6.) Jason Williams‘ “Whiteboy”. Define Irony, guy who thinks he’s black has an everyday reminder he is white.

7.) Reggie Miller‘s “Gay Sun” Two things to note… Maybe Reggie was trying to start a new trend, which I can somewhat support. Secondly, you gotta be careful with tattooing regions that may not be pleasing to view later on in life
