There are several networks that produce some great shows on television today that are fact-based. These shows are so good that you may not even be a big fan of the sport, but you’d find yourself watching them. With that said, there are really only two networks that separate themself.
The subject of this post stems from the HBO series 24/7 on Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz. Unfortunately, you got a nice insight on the immense dickheadness of Mayweather. Sadly, he’s a damn good boxer.
That isn’t the only show. Here are the 5 Best Fact-Fased Sports Shows Today….
5. HBO’s “24/7″
HBO has a tremendous program in “24/7″. I’m not a huge hockey fan, but I really enjoyed the Pens/Caps. I’m not a huge boxing fan, but I thought their boxing “24/7′s” have been great. Up next, the Rangers vs. Flyers.
4. ESPN’s “NFL Primetime”
Lets give respect, where respect is due. NFL Primetime has been on the air for over a decade. There may be other shows creeping up on them in terms of reporting the NFL, but I just can’t do it. That’s treason.
3. ESPN’s “30 for 30″
ESPN’s “30 for 30″ series is fantastic. My favorite episode was the “Once Brothers“, which featured Vlade Divac and Drazen Petrovic. Great series.
2. HBO’s “Hard Knocks”
HBO hit a home run with “Hard Knocks” about ten years ago. Like I said before… I hate Rex Ryan, Mark Sanchez, et. al but I watched the show. “Hard Knocks” is great.
1. ESPN’s “Sportscenter”
Kind of anti-climatic isn’t it? It’s tough to argue this one. There hasn’t been a better show on for longer. ESPN and HBO have the sports shows locked down don’t they?
