
Last season, the NBA ran a contest to identify the best dance team in professional basketball and the Sacramento Kings Dancers represented the West in the finals. While they didn’t make it all the way, they were crowned “Best in the West”. Not a bad distinction if you ask me. And while the NBA will most likely not start on time this year (if at all), the Kings organization still held tryouts.
David Tyau, from Ultimate Cheerleaders spent the entire day at the event and took at least 500 photographs. You can see a detailed account of this day in this Ultimate Cheerleader Post.

You gotta love backstage. I also love how skimpy these tryout outfits are. I mean they have to wear practically nothing on the court but I would imagine sweats wouldn’t be that big a deal. Clearly there’s some higher selection and stereotyping with bodies going on here. I’m not complaining though.
