If you woke up in New England this morning there’s a good chance life just isn’t making a whole lot of sense today. Jacoby Ellsbury gave you a glimmer of hope last night, but there is still work to be done. The Red Sox are pointing fingers while they cling for dear life in the playoff race. Tom Terrific and the Patriots laid an egg in Buffalo which makes me wonder if hell has frozen over. Lastly, there’s Mitt Romney. Things in New England aren’t going well, but I don’t feel too bad. New England has had their fair share of success in recent years.
The Red Sox are a complete and utter train wreck. There is talk that Terry Francona is going to get the axe because he’s the guy on the mound throwing batting practice every night. Lets face it; they spent money without regard for team chemistry, their pitching has sucked, and they’ve dealt with injuries. I’d be nervous these final three games. You can be sure the Yankees aren’t going to try and help them vs. the Rays. They do have that one game lead though so smile!
The last time the Patriots lost in Buffalo Tom Brady was a virgin. Ryan Fitzpatrick moved the ball up and down the field in the second half like the Bills were playing against Harvard’s defense. I wouldn’t be too worried, Bill Belichick will twist his mustache, the Pats will end up 13-3 with a first round bye, and Tom Brady won’t suffer from erectile dysfunction. It just wasn’t the right time to lose seeing people are already on the cliff over the Bosox.
Tough times in New England this week. All the Sox have to do is beat the lowly Orioles. They can do that right? Right? They beat the Orioles, they’re in. The Pats will be fine. Now Mitt Romney, I don’t know what New Englanders can do about him…. Sad Face….

Things could be worse. They could be stuck with no real job and have to write for a shitty sports blog that consistently shows they know nothing about sports.

[...] Every Monday morning, we here at Unathletic make it a point to highlight a fan base that had a rough weekend. Last week, it was pretty clear after theĀ Red Sox got bounced around and the Pats lost to the Bills it would suck to be on your way to work Monday morning and be a Boston Fan. [...]
