Whether he’s being like “Manny” or being like Jacoby, he’s doing his best to keep the Red Sox away from the abyss. The guy in my reluctant, but honest opinion, deserves to be the MVP if the Red Sox make the playoffs. He’s the MVP. If he didn’t hit that home run Sunday night, and the Yankees won the game, the Red Sox would be dead. The mood would have been catastrophic in that locker room.
The numbers are gawdy man….. .322 AVG, 31 HRs, 103 RBIs, 117 Runs, 38 SBs. MVP worthy without a doubt. Last week he had four home runs, three of which came in the Yankees series. The guy single handedly tried to keep the Red Sox afloat, and for what it’s worth I think he did. Waking up Monday morning with a 1 game lead as opposed to being even means a whole helluva lot. Be that as it may, they are waking up this fine morning even, but that doesn’t take away from Jacoby
So I’m giving Jacoby Ellsbury the “Dreamboat” of the week award. The guy is killing it right now, and he’s my vote for MVP if the Sox hang on here. A picture tribute to Jacoby is his reward…..
