I know a ton of focus has been on the World Series lately. And rightfully so. We’ve got the whole “will Albert Pujols sign again” debate going on. We’ve got David Freese and his legion of fans. I personally have my “The Cardinals again?” face on. It’s a whole whirlwind of information to let the professionals write about.

But if you want some other awesome MLB news then this is it. Over the weekend a professional baseball player by the name of John Axford happened to take home the Robert Goulet Mustached American of the Year award.

The institute said, “Even though he is Canadian, we believe John represents everything else the Mustached American community values: humor, intelligence and good looks. He is also very tall.

Apparently there was controversy because Axford is a foreigner. Well, whatever. We just want to give credit where credit is due. Rollie Fingers would be proud.
