People were riding the Jets heavy on this one. I can say I was not one of those people. Don’t ever doubt the Patriots. If there is anything we’ve ever learned in the NFL it’s nothing is for sure. Now just watch, people are going to be back on the Patriots train after one win.

There is just something inherently wrong with this. Congratulations of getting engaged and stuff, but during this game?

“Hey Mom, how did you and Dad get married?”

“Well son, your father proposed to me during halftime at a Penn State vs. Nebraska game.”

“Really? Was that the first game after they fired Joe Paterno in wake of a child sex abuse scandal?”

“Yes son, it was beautitful”

Ummm, neat. Congratulations. At least she wore a cool hat.

I’m wondering if 20-30 years down the road we’ll be looking at pictures of guys like Kobe Bryant or Lebron James and laughing at them as we do pictures like this of Larry Bird.   If I had to take a guess I’d say “no way.”

No one will every be like Larry.  As Magic once said, “there will be another Michael Jordan, but there will never be another Larry Bird.”   I think that might have been one of the most accurate quotes in sports history.

Look at this picture.  Seriously, does it get any better than this?  Not a chance.

Whoever invented the scary maze trick is one sick f%ck dude. This thing is just torture. I’ve never seen a little kid doing the scary maze that wasn’t scarred for life. These poor kids are never going to be able to sleep with the lights off. It’s going to be hard for me not to mess with my kids though. Hilarious. #6 is just fuggin’ awesome

Penn State fans didn’t boycott the game this past weekend. In fact, they came out in numbers just like it was any other game to show their support for the scandal-plagued University.

I’m pretty perplexed by the whole thing. I guess it’s hard to understand the sentiment for Joe Paterno when you’re not a fan, but some of this sh$t is frightening. I mean frightening.

Either way, Unathletic is going to give you a little glimpse into some of the lunatics, I mean fans, that went to the Penn State vs. Nebraska game this weekend in wake of the Sandusky Scandal.

Philadelphia Magazine published an article with the title, “The Eagles Suck – And It’s Andy Reid’s Fault“. Are you even allowed to use the word “suck” in a publication like that? We mine as well get right to the point; The Eagles need to fire Andy Reid.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has a real soft spot for his head coach. That, or Reid threatened to beat him up if he fired him. I don’t quite understand it. Reid has been successful, but he hasn’t won a thing. Usually, a coach has to win a title before he’s given the kind of leash that Reid currently possesses. Lurie has given Reid total control in terms of coaching and personnel management, and this is what he’s created; a bunch of overpaid underachievers.

I certainly believe that players should be held accountable, but you can’t fire the whole team can you? When you watch the Birds you don’t see a cohesive unit like the Packers. You see a group of rich misfits who seemingly don’t give two sh$ts if the team wins. The blame has to fall on Reid. The on-field performance has been atrocious, and off  the field hasn’t been smooth sailing either. Michael Vick’s contract; yeah that was Andy Reid. The bottom line is the team is a total disaster from top to bottom, and the blame falls on Andy Reid’s shoulders.

Well here’s the thing folks.  The auditions for the Miami Heat Dancers squad are barely even done!   Hell it took nearly 3 weeks for these girls to complete the process.   Today however, I want to take you through round 1 because the talent was extraordinary.

Apparently the Heat squad has a rigorous boot camp of sorts that puts ladies to the ultimate test.   If you want to dance for the Heat crowd you better bring it.  Seriously.

And brought it they did.  Check out the photos after the jump….

In the wake of the Penn State scandal, another lesson is to be learned. It’s really quite simple: those who linger too long often pay the price. Sports can be a great educator. When it’s time to retire it’s time to retire.

Then there are those who choose to linger. There are those whose egos are so big they can’t bear the thought of stepping out of the spotlight. This is a grave mistake.

Today, we will highlight those who did not retire on time and paid the price. They are sad stories because often times legacies are crushed…
