We’ve only just begun to witness NCAA Conference realignment. In time, we will have a Super Conference that controls a huge percentage of the revenues in collegiate sports.
It’s unfortunate, but inevitable. Collegiate athletics have become a business, and businesses do what they need to do to be as profitable as possible. Right now, we’re in a survival-of-the-fittest-mode. If a school does not possess a quality Division I football program. Forget about it.
Seeing NCAA athletics are under constant movement, what would this Super Conference look like in ten years? What schools are going to reap the benefits, and what schools are going to face athletic extinction? Here is a ten-team Super Conference that will be created in time…

Here’s something I just have to bring up. Not that it’s such a crazy issue but I find it funny how some people make a big deal out of specific sports team names that might sound offensive. People will always mention the Redskins and yeah I can certainly see where they’re coming from. Then you’ve got people who hate the Tomahawk chop in Atlanta. Again, understandable.
Is it me or do we never hear about names like “Cocks” or “Beavers?” I mean the entire South Carolina college system must be fully aware of the coup they’ve pulled off and how many “cocks” shirts they’ve sold. But you don’t hear anyone bitching about that name do you? I mean am I the only childish guy out there who still finds these words hilarious on a daily basis?
Speaking of which, come on. How funny is it that there’s a group of girls doing splits in uniforms that say “Beavers.” Go Oregon State!
More Beavers after the jump….

I read an article today that said JoePa should just step down effective immediately. This is as messy as it gets right here. It’s actually unbelievable. The fact that there was cover-up in something as disturbing as this is ridiculous.

Look, we like to report on funny things in sports. We like to make fun of all the big stories. But today I just have to say something about Mr. Joe Paterno in regards to this scandal.
Now? I mean now? That’s all I keep thinking. Paterno is now 84 years old. The man is about to turn 85 in a month. He’s had nearly 50 years, yes nearly 50 years of tenure as a head coach and from what I recall, without scandal. He’s won championships. He’s gotten accolades. You name it.
We’re not here to discuss that. What I’m here to discuss is something extremely simple. In over 50 years, probably closer to 70 of involvement in college football I can’t believe that this one event will completely tarnish his entire career. And you know something? Its absolutely should. Because if in that long a time you do things right, how in the hell could you miss something like that?
How do you ignore it? I’m not here to discuss conspiracy theories but it gets you thinking doesn’t it? Doesn’t there have to be more to this? Some kind of concern? I’m not saying that Paterno was involved with the little kids…yet. But something is amiss and at some point Paterno will have to own up to this.
It’s just a shame that he’s in his twilight years and literally the last 50 will be an asterisk. It’s your own fault Joe.
For the record, I use the term redneck endearingly. Now that that is cleared up, HOLY SH$T. Is this serious? I get petrified just watching this video. At first I was like, eh, this isn’t going to be so bad, then the four-wheeler took the chick back like 200 yards. Do not sign me up for this ride. This has disaster written all over it.
When I first looked at this photo I could have sworn that was DeSean Jackson. T.I. and DeSean Jackson are the same guy. Anyway, it’s “pick on Mike Vick Day”! Yay! Hours after posting an article about Vick getting voted the least liked NFL player, I get to sh$t on T.I.’s Vick costume.
Honestly, T.I. you make millions of dollars and this is what you scrapped together? On top of that, you’re a known felon. Don’t you think you should have dressed up as Eli Manning bro? Lastly, I don’t mean to be a dick, but T.I.’s wife is grotesque.
It’s crunch time. We’ve got a couple weeks before the playoffs start, and the trade deadline is quickly approaching. We need some quick fixes, and quick fixes that are cheap.
Right now it’s all about feel. You go by how another manager may be “feeling” about a particular player and you try to exploit it. All it takes is for a manager to be sleeping on a guy and you can have him. It’s all about finishing down the stretch in Fantasy Football.
Here are some guys you can get relatively cheaply that will save you.
Michael Vick apparently hasn’t won over the fans just yet. The Eagles quarterback edged out the Jets’ WR Plaxico Burress as the most disliked player in the NFL. Forbes.com reported Monday that Vick is the NFL’s most disliked player, according to a poll by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research. Forbes.com reports that 60 percent of those polled picked said they “dislike,” “dislike somewhat,” or “dislike a lot” the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.
Look at this list of the most disliked players…
1. Michael Vick – QB – Philadelphia Eagles
2. Plaxico Burress – WR – New York Jets
3. Ben Roethlisberger – QB – Pittsburgh Steelers
4. Albert Haynesworth – DT – New England Patriots
5. Jay Cutler – QB – Chicago Bears
6. Chad Ochocinco – WR – New England Patriots
7. Vince Young – QB – Philadelphia Eagles
8. Carson Palmer – QB – Oakland Raiders
9. Tony Romo – QB- Dallas Cowboys
10. Jeremy Shockey – TE – Carolina Panthers
I can’t really say I disagree much with the fans voting here. Michael Vick, Plaxico Burress, Ben Roethlisberger are known offenders of the law. Jay Cutler, Ochocinco, Haynesworth, and Shockey are legitimate dickheads. Tony Romo is just a tool. Who even thinks about Vince Young anymore? Carson Palmer? Who’s wife did you screw buddy?
