Spectacular touch followed by a great shot. Barcelona went on to win the match vs. AC Milan, but both teams have already secured their spot in the knockout round. The game itself was actually magnificent. You can be sure these two teams will continue on into the very late stages of the Champions League.

Welcome to a new feature on Unathletic.   This one is called the “sports play of the week.”   It might be something out of professional sports or it might be something out of high school.  You never know.

Today’s video comes from a soccer game played this week between UNC Greensboro and Elon University.  This was one of two goals Elon University’s Jordan Smith scored on UNC Greensboro in his side’s 3-2 Southern Conference Championship win a couple weeks ago. After a nice hop over a sliding defender and making his way around goalkeeper Peyton Ford, Smith casually put the ball into the empty net.

Ford then decided to take out his anger on the goal by doing a little gay jump side kick.  He of course, falls on his ass thus creating our sports play of the week.  Thanks.

Just so we’re clear; I refuse to call this f%ckhead by his new name. This is pretty much par for the course for good old Ron Ron. I think it’s safe to say there are MORE people that wish your dad got a vasectomy or at least rocked a dome pal.

Seriously, when did Andre the Giant get arrested? Apparently, the guy was into some next level sh$t. He’s not the only athlete in the history of the sports world to get arrested, not by a long shot.

Seeing it’s a lovely Thanksgiving week, we mine as well throw out a gallery of athlete mugshots. That seems fitting for the day after the holiday. Some of these mugshots are absolutely hilarious. That’s the best part about them. There’s no time to primp yourself up. Just ask Lindsay Lohan.

Enjoy this lovely gallery….

I’ll spare everyone from a news article today, and pop this video up this morning. Everyone can relate to this. You were probably in this kid’s shoes yesterday. A long day that is capped off with a big meal. The turkey man, it makes you sleepy! Awesome video.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Back to business. (Sad Face)

We hope that all of you are nice and fattened up today.   And Lord knows that it was a fun day to watch football yesterday.  Speaking of football, did you know that the cheerleaders from Seattle are extremely attractive?

And not only that, they’re patriotic.   Speaking of which a couple of weeks ago they celebrated Military Appreciation day in their cutest outfits imaginable.  Thanks girls!

Pics after the jump….

I don’t think I need to tell you that this weekend’s college football games are huge. We’re talking serious BCS implications, and some great rivalry games.

You know the story; big games need big players stepping up. There are five guys in particular the UNathletic has identified as the most important players in this weekend’s games. If their team is going to win, they need to come through huge.

Take a look at this weekend’s 5…..

We assume you’re watching football today and not reading any of our crap.   We don’t blame you.  We’ll be back tomorrow.  Enjoy the holiday.
