Archive for December, 2011

Back in July, Bleacher Report put out an article citing their reasons why they believed Felix Hernandez would not be traded in 2011. Well, technically it’s still 2011, and now Andrew Marchand of ESPN is writing blogs about ‘How the Yankees can acquire King Felix.

I’ve been monitoring this situation closely, and I can give you 5 reasons why the Yankees and Mariners will make this deal happen. All logic and ‘public issued statements’ would indicate otherwise, but I’m telling you; this trade is going to go down.

Let me convince you….

There has to be a sense of relief for the Packers to get this one out of the way. They laid their egg, now it’s time to move forward. The Packers are still the best team in the NFL, don’t get to worked up over this loss. As for the New York Giants… Wow dudes.

What annoys me about this video is that if I were on the team of the player that got Sucker-Punched I would have tried to annihilate this guy. Then again, I understand there must be a little fear of this lunatic carrying something dangerous.

How about the awesome security staff just letting the guy go after 10 yards? Those dudes are earning their pay.

I feel like I’m watching Will Ferrell in ‘Old School’. God only knows what he’s got going on underneath that garbage can. This is just the most amazing outfit you are going to see during Bowl Season. I can guarantee it.

With that said, it’s kind of shame that this was the most notable thing to come out of the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. FYI, apparently it was freezing cold during this game too. That earns more points.

Packers Photobomb

Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend.   Last week, as usual, we saw a nice surge in crazy fans out there.  Doesn’t matter what league or what venue it is, there are some whack jobs out there.

Anyway, we did our normal searching for fans that you probably didn’t get a chance to see so here we are sharing them on our site.

Here five awesome great fans from last week….

I know the wounds are still raw for everyone, but it’s time to say goodbye. It hurts, and it feels like life is never going to be good again, but we have to try and move on. Kobe and Vanessa are divorced. <tear>

As an aside, only celebrities can turn a subject matter like divorce and turn it into a farce. First Kim and Kris, now Kobe and Vanessa. You’d think it’d be tragic, instead its almost comedic. The one thing that’s sad about Kobe’s situation is there are children involved.

So now that we got that over with, let’s take one last look and say goodbye to the joke, I mean marriage, that was Kobe and Vanessa Bryant.

Not this time, Tim Tebow. Not with Tom Brady on hand.Brady threw for two touchdowns, ran for another and the New England Patriots shut down Tebow’s late-game heroics and clinched a playoff berth with a 41-23 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The Patriots (11-3) won their sixth straight game and another AFC East title by bouncing back from an early 17-6 deficit and an awful first quarter in which they were outgained on the ground 167 yards to 4. This time, there was no last-minute magic from Tebow, who had guided the Broncos (8-6) to four straight fourth-quarter comebacks and six straight wins.

And what’s the first thing I see when I look at the sports news this morning…”Give Tebow a Pass”. I get that it’s a fun play on words, but I’m not giving him anything. What you saw yesterday was a tale of two quarterbacks; one who’s been awfully fortunate and had some momentum, and the other who is good. It’s really that simple. Tebow can do some great stuff, but the minute you start thinking he can part the Red Sea is the minute you’ve lost your mind. At the end of the day, Tim Tebow isn’t going to beat any of the big boys, and John Elway knows that. That’s why you don’t hear Elway shooting his mouth off about his quarterback… EVER.

Nope, this isn’t the Oakland Raiders.  This would be the Richmond Raiders.   And their cheerleaders are just as attractive as any NFL cheerleader so I’m really happy to be notifying the public that this squad has got their own calendar.

The Lady Raiders will be appearing throughout the community to promote the calendar and the upcoming Raiders arena football season, which kicks off March 10.

So in anticipation of that, please support the team by picking up a calendar or just looking at pics of their release party and making your own calendar.  Whichever works….
