Arnold Palmer set the trend when he poured unsweetened iced tea into a half glass of lemonade. He loved the drink so much it became famous. Now, every single golfer, and most people, know what an Arnold Palmer is….

Palmer set the trend, but many followed. There are now tons of drinks named after professional athletes out there, and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.

Take a look at some Drinks Named After Professional Athletes…

The Premier League is no longer well-represented in the UEFA Champions League. This should come as a shock to those who follow soccer as the EPL was fitted, per usual, as the top league in the world. I wonder who Barcelona is going to end up playing in the Finals this year…

Could you think of a better slip-up when reporting something about Jerry Sandusky? I mean Attorney “Genitals” office! That’s genius. The best part is the minute the guy said it he put his head down in shame. Dude, you should be proud of yourself.

Last week during Wednesday’s game between the Winnipeg Jets and the Ottawa Senators there was some great action and close plays. But perhaps nothing was more eventful than the moment you’re seeing up top.

One moment during the opening period turned out to be downright ugly, as Sens forward Nikita Filatov was on the receiving end of a skate to the face. Pretty gruesome yet you can’t take your eyes off.

Thanks to Total Pro Sports for the vid.

I can’t even begin to describe how awful this tattoo is – I mean if this guy got a Cam Newton centaur it would still be horrific. Where do I begin… (1) The art absolutely sucks on this tattoo (2) Tim Tebow’s shelf-life as an NFL quarterback may be 2-3 years tops (3) His tattoo says Tebow Time. Tebow Time isn’t awesome at all.

Somewhere Tim Tebow is shaking his head. God would not approve.

There is nothing like NFL fans. Seriously, these people come out to play. I, personally, could never imagine myself going to some of the extremes that some fans go to before I go to a game. That doesn’t mean that I don’t respect it. Keep getting after it people.

We’ve got a few weeks left here in the NFL season. I’m not going to lie, the fans are getting better and better as we go along. This week was particularly amusing.

Hit the jump and enjoy a collection of some awesome fans…

Lindsey Vonn is the latest to be swept up by Tebow-mania. After winning a World Cup super-G race Wednesday, the Olympic downhill champion struck the pose known as “Tebowing,” made famous by Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. The two became friends at a recent charity golf event, NFL.com reported. Tim’s brother, Robby Tebow, attended the race in Beaver Creek, Colo., according to the Denver Post. The Post reported that Vonn discussed the move with Robby before she dropped to one knee in front of the awards podium.

“Tebowing”. I hate “Tebowing”. Planking. I hate “Planking”. I know it’s all in good fun, but at least make it something funny or interesting. Both crazes are legitimately stupid. They aren’t funny at all. Now we have hot female sports figures “Tebowing”. I’m actually surprised Tebow isn’t against everyone doing his little prayer. It essentially makes a mockery of the guy’s aggressive religious behavior. I guess it’s not that big of a deal, and it’ll pass. That doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s stupid.

I’ve touted the Redskins Cheerleaders before and I’m pretty sure I’ll be doing it as long as I keep seeing the splendid photos that I’ve been seeing.   And even though the ‘Skins have had some rough goes this year, their cheerleaders keep shining.

There’s one girl in particular whose picture is right after the jump that I have to mention.  I’m not 100% sure of her name but I have to say her photos are in my top 10 for cheerleader pics for the 2011 season so far.   They’re that good.

Anyway, these were taken versus Cowboys a couple weeks back……
