I usually have one of these rants once every six-months. It’s become somewhat of a tradition for me. I seriously want someone to tell me what is better than being a professional athlete? A pilot? A banker? A fireman? Forget about it – being a professional athlete is the best job in the world.

So while you sit there and think of an argument of what profession is better – try and out-do this evidence… give it your best shot. You won’t win..

5.) Professional Athletes Make More Money

“Well not all professional athletes are rich meh meh meh”. Ok, we will throw it all out the window – the average professional athlete salary is over $80,000. The average salary everyday citizen salary is a little over $40,000… And let’s be serious I’d much rather let be on a professional sports team making $80,000 than sitting at a desk all day. The sky’s the limit when you’re a pro athlete – the limit’s the sky when you’re not.

4.) Wives….. AND…… Girlfriends

The Andy Roddick phenomenon sums this one up perfectly. Look at Roddick – guy isn’t attractive, he’s kind of a smug little d-bag – yet he’s married to one of the hottest women on the planet. Brooklyn Decker may have the best body in the world. How did Roddick do it? He became a professional tennis player, he sucked, but he’s a pro.

3.) You Work Out For a Living

You have one job to do – stay in shape. Oh man, that sucks.. Not only will you better yourself in your profession but you won’t be a 30 year old with a belly hanging over your belt. Oh, and you have the best trainers in the world to hold your hand through it.

2.) You’re adored by millions

People love you.. They draft you in fantasy leagues, they cheer for you, they want to know what you do on and off the field. I mean you’re IT my friend. You can walk into a restaurant and be seated immediately. If you need a little TLC all you have to do is go down to the local grocery store and some hot babe is waiting for you. It’s too easy..
