Cole Hamels earned a five-game suspension for the way he welcomed Bryce Harperto the big leagues. The 2008 World Series MVP was suspended for intentionally throwing at the Washington rookie in the Philadelphia Phillies‘ 9-3 win over the Nationals on Sunday night. Major League Baseball announced the penalty Monday. Hamels also was fined.
I’m not going to get into a long rant about this is what’s wrong with baseball these days, but.. this is what’s wrong with baseball. Old school baseball is history. You know as well as I do Hamels wasn’t trying to end his career. He hit him in the perfect spot. He’s not Pedro Martinez.
Regardless, there are some guys in Major League Baseball that absolutely deserve the Hamels treatment. Here they are…
5.) Nyjer Morgan – Milwaukee Brewers
I truly believe that the Brewers must be miserable having this character in their locker room everyday. I think Morgan sucks. The guy is a complete jackass. With that said, every pitcher should hit this dude. The problem is he’ll go apesh%t everytime.
4.) Alex Rodriguez – New York Yankees
It’s well-documented that no one really likes Alex Rodriguez. There’s just something greasy about him. I think it’s safe to say he deserves to get beaned more often than not. The only thing saving A-Rod is he’s not a blatant d-bag like the other guys.
3.) Ryan Braun – Milwaukee Brewers
Hey man.. you do the crime you do the time. That is all…. Brewers filling up this list!!
2.) Matt Kemp – Los Angeles Dodgers
Hit Kemp or give up a long ball….. Hit Kemp or get taken deep…. It’s a no-brainer for pitchers trying to preserve their ERA. This is the one good guy on the list. It’s just a a better investment to hit him than pitch to him.
1.) Bryce Harper – Washington Nationals
What can I say Bryce? You earned it buddy. No one probably deserves it more than this cocky little d-bag.
