The 2012 UEFA European Championship is set to kick off on June 8th in Ukraine and Poland. It should be a wild month as Europe’s best football countries compete for the title. If you aren’t winning the FIFA World Cup, the Euro is the next best thing.. by far.

Alright here are our predictions;

I’m not going to waste my time and write a caption under both these teams when they are eerily similar stories. Yes, they are in the same Group. You could call Group B the ‘Group of Death’. Here’s the thing – I think Portugal could potentially oust one of these teams, but I don’t see it happening. And when they don’t #1 and #2 of Group B play #1 and #2 of Group A. To put it plainly – there isn’t a team in Group A that could beat Germany or Netherlands. Here’s the rub – It’s almost too good to be true – like there has to be an upset here. It’s too obvious. For now – Germany and Netherlands are in the Final Four.

2.) Spain

Look, I really really want to pick an upset, but no one is taking out Spain in Group C. No one. The Italians don’t have a chance. Lock ‘em sock’em put ‘em in the final four – I have them beating England. In the quarters… which leads us too…

4.) France

Time for France to make a comeback after the nightmare that was 2010. I like France to finish first in their group, then beat Italy in the quarters. They’ve been doing positive things on the International Friendly stage that included a win vs. Germany… Viva La France!
