If anything I wanted to show this clip so you can get a glimpse of how different Magic Johnson spoke in 1980 as opposed to now, over 30 years later.   But since we just embarked on yet another incredible finals series I wanted all of you to be reminded of what was one of the best finals performances of all time.

Abdul Jabbar down with injury, the 6’9 Magic Johnson starts at center in game 6 of the 1980 finals.  What does he do?  Only put up 42 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists.   Sound like Lebron’s game against the Celtics?  You betcha.   Anyway, I just wanted all of you to check that out today.
