Nothing’s better than doing something for a good cause.   It’s always great when you can give back to the community and have fun while doing it.  Which is why I’m really proud to share some great pictures from an event that I hope continues in the Los Angeles area.

The Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments squared off in their 3rd annual basketball game at USC’s Galen Center on Saturday, June 9th, in front of several thousand vocal fans. The game was just part of the excitement, as A Foundation For Kids helped provide food, gifts and Skechers shoes to the estimated 10,000 kids and families at the annual Summer Kick-off Yourth Festival. The LAPD team took their 3rd straight title in a very competitive game, which included the USC Cheerleaders, Sparks mascot, Clippers cheerleaders and featured Arsenio Hall handling the MC duties.

What also made this event so special was the fact that there were cheerleaders there!  Yes, cheerleaders rooting on all the players.   Isn’t that lovely?  Of course we have pictures after the jump.

Thanks to A Better LA for the photos
