With a strong youth movement in the NBA, and stars wanting to play with stars things are going to change. So which teams are going to make a move and which teams are going to crumble?
Hit the jump to see who’s on the come up…
5.) Boston Celtics
Seems counter-intuitive with the aging superstars, but I loved their draft. Garnett is back, they signed Jason Terry (who I think is an upgrade from Ray Allen at this point), Bradley will get healthy… Is it weird to say the Celtics are on the come up even though their aging superstars are almost extinct? Of course it is, but I’m feeling the Celtics.
I’m giving the Cavaliers respect. They lost Lebron James and are building from negative a million. They have the reigning Rookie of the Year, they had a nice draft, and will continue to improve on win totals in years to come. Patience, but their moving up….
3.) Sacramento Kings
Demarcus Cousins and Thomas Robinson up top.. Team is going to be a legit rebounding squad. I contemplated other teams here on the verge of making moves. I’m putting the Kings here because I love Thomas Robinson.. Perhaps I could have went with the Clippers (obvious choice) etc. I’m thinking the Kings make a move next year.
Hornets have to go here because they may have drafted one of the best big men in several decades. After losing Chris Paul, they’re trying to rebound and trying to rebound quick. I’m not certain they’re a playoff team, but in a couple years they will.
1.) Brooklyn Nets
Making moves, making moves.. I fully expect to see the Nets get Dwight Howard. Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Dwight Howard.. I’m in dude.. The Nets are the number one team in the East. Yeah that’s right, over the Heat.
