Ever since former Florida State and Minnesota Vikings QB Christian ponder revealed two weeks ago that he was dating ESPN�s Samantha Steele, his play has been less than stellar. In the three games since then he�s completed just 51.4% (38-of-74) of his passes and thrown just two TDs against four INTs. Vikings fans might now view Steele as their Yoko Ono, but Ponder thinks the implication is ridiculous.

�She has nothing to do with it,� he said when the topic was brought up by KFAN-AM�s Paul Allen during a radio interview. �We�ve been dating since the beginning of the season, so she had also to do with the five wins. So it has really nothing to do with anything on the football field.�

Ponder has a point. It�s not Steele�s fault that the defense has allowed an average of 33 points/game during Minnesota�s last two losses. In reality, this is one of those that you just let go buddy…
