The above picture is said to be responsible for Notre Dame’s troubles of late. Experts then point to pictures of “hot girls” with other college quarterbacks, most notably Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy. Since this story has received more creedance than I would have ever expected, I think it needs to be noted.
The girls quarterbacks hang out with have about as much affect on the outcome of a game as the amount of unicorns in the stands.
Don’t get me wrong. I understand it’s supposed to be all in good fun, but I’m just not a fan of criticizing a girl, because she’s not your typical tits with legs. Jeff Pearlman, awesome sports writer, made a good point when a picture of a female rowing team was released. These women, unfortunately, had a bit of camel toe going on. Mr. Pearlman reposted the picture, thinking it was a quick chuckle, only to take it down the next day, apologizing. Why’d he apologize? Because he wondered, “What if that was my daughter?”
Well to all those who think it’s fair game to call a couple of girls ugly for making the mistake of posing with Jimmy Clausen, I hope you’re blessed with your own little girl who would be considered non-traditional to you folks. Kinda like the South Park episode where parents explain to their son that he’s disabled, because they always made fun of kids with disabilities in high school.
Karma is a bitch… Says the holier than thou asshole who just wished vengeance upon a random mass of people. Oops!
Wow. No doubt this guy was seeing birds, stars, and muttering, “Which way did he go, George?” like some Looney Tunes character after taking that hit.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a hit like that. The guy ran through him like air. Ironic, since he knocked every last drop of air out of that guy.
The only good thing about those kind of hits, as far as the receiving end goes, is that they’re over quickly, and you look pretty damn tough after you get back up (helps if it’s on your own. I know from experience, if ya know what I mean.

Kentucky’s men’s basketball program became the first program to reach the 2,000 win mark in all of college basketball, beating out the Tar Heels who are stuck at that cursed 1,992 mark. Granted it would’ve taken an unheard of losing streak (as far as the Wildcats are concerned) for the Tar Heels to catch up, but beating out the “other blue team” cements Kentucky’s place as the most celebrated basketball program in the country.
Kentucky improved to 2,000-635-1 in 107 seasons, just ahead of North Carolina’s 1,992 victories. Kansas is third with 1,980.”From the beginning to the end, getting to 2,000 wins proves that Kentucky has been the strongest college basketball program,” former Kentucky star Dan Issel said.
This reminder was needed, because Kentucky basketball had been struggling in the past few years. By the looks of it a few years ago, one might have even thought North Carolina could beat them to the coveted mark. Now with the 2,000 win belt, Kentucky can move on to bigger and better things, some of which will hopefully redeem their status as the racist, bad guy school in Glory Road.
2,000 wins and 7 NCAA championships. Not bad.

A couple days after it was reported that USC gave running back Joe McKnight’s girlfriend an SUV, we learn that Mr. McKnight will be watching the Trojans from home.
“He has some paperwork he needs to do and it’s best for him to stay in LA so he can be available to finish it,” Trojans coach Pete Carroll said.
I wonder what the paperwork could possibly be. First of all, shouldn’t it be his lady friend and the university going over paperwork? They apparently had no problem with paperwork when it involved signing over a brand new SUV.
I also think it’s funny that the car was an SUV. What the Hell does she need an SUV for!? Does she have a massive car pool or something we don’t know about? Nobody really needs an SUV, but she certainly doesn’t. We all know USC has been bending the rules, they should’ve just at least cheated in a good way by getting her an environmentally friendly car.
More details need to come out on this story. But it sounds like USC is trying to save face once again.

Warning: Out of fairness (in an article about fairness) it should be noted that I loathe the USC Trojans and all things Southern California (LA, Hollywood, tourists, etc.).
The USC Trojans are in the news again, but not for dominating the football field or basketball court like they’d hoped.
The owner of the SUV that USC Trojans running back Joe McKnight has been seen driving says it was bought for the junior’s girlfriend as a favor.
In e-mails to the Los Angeles Times and Los Angeles Daily News, Scott Schenter, a Santa Monica, Calif., businessman, said the car is driven by Johana Michelle Beltran — McKnight’s girlfriend — and that he helped purchase the Land Rover because Beltran’s family had trouble qualifying for a loan.
That reminds me, what ever happened to that whole Reggie Bush thing? The NCAA says they’re still investigating it, but I believe that for about 0.42 seconds. USC is USC and that’s that. They have an enormous fan base and are a great television market. The NCAA doesn’t want to touch that beast. Continue Reading »

Thanks to Coach Turner Gill’s jump from head coach of Buffalo to Kansas, Cincinnati will be losing yet another coach. This time, it’s not until the end of the season.
Jeff Quinn’s will be Buffalo’s new football coach following the departure of Turner Gill.
Quinn’s hiring was announced by the school Sunday, but he will remain as Cincinnati’s interim coach until after the Bearcats play Florida in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.
Good Lord! What a couple of weeks for the undefeated Bearcats, who have now lost their head coach and will be losing their interim coach. I wonder how many undefeated teams in the history of NCAA football have lost their head coach, let alone the interim coach put in place to replace the departing head coach.
Part of me wonders if Cincinnati is letting Quinn stay the interim coach simply because it looks absolutely ridiculous to change coaches twice before a bowl game OR if it’s because they don’t know who to turn to should they bar Quinn from coaching. Continue Reading »
