While most NFL teams were wearing their traditional Christmas themed outfits back in December the ladies of the Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders were donning the patriotic colors of red, white, and blue. My guess is because it was the weekend following the tragic shootings in Newtown, CT.
And even though the Cardinals are still a horrible team, it was nice to see the unity that day.

Despite all that’s happened in Penn State over the last year, they still have one of the best athletic programs in the country. And while the football program will forever be tainted it will never be the fault of the students. It will always be the fault of one man who will be in jail for the rest of his life.
So today I want to say that I’m still happy about that spirit at Penn State. Particularly their spirit and cheerleading squads who do such a great job.

It’s a tradition that’s been going on for years: tailgating. And now that’s playoff time in the NFL, tailgates are at an all time high. Sometimes the party begins up to 10 hours before kickoff so you’d better be prepared.
Dhani shows us that not everyone can always be the most prepared. In fact there’s gonna be some fumbles along the way. Enjoy this humorous look at the funnier side of tailgating.

I must admit that when I was a kid I loved to watch those strongman contests on ESPN2. Hell I still like to watch them once in a blue moon when they’re on at like 2am on a Friday. It’s fun to see these giant guys get all geeked up about rolling over a giant tire 10 times in as fast a time as they can muster.
But who knew that when they’re being announced to the crowd that they have lovely ladies accompanying them? Go figure.

Every year the best players in the NFL get chosen to be in the Pro Bowl. While the Pro Bowl itself has gotten reamed in the press and by fans, it’s still an honor to be selected as one of the elite players in the league. But did you know that cheerleaders also get Pro Bowl honors? Yes, it’s true.
So we just want to give a shout out to all of those All-Star cheerleaders in the league and a best of luck in this year’s pro bowl.
Here’s a look at some past Pro Bowl cheerleaders after the jump…..

As early as 1999, the women’s flag football game was played the day before the Goat-Engineer game. Starting in 2007, both men’s and women’s games shared the same spotlight at Michie Stadium. This year, the Goat team featured the entire Women’s Army Rugby roster, which attributed much to the aggressive defense. The Engineers were more diverse in their athletic talents, including members from the Army Volleyball, Lacrosse, Track and Soccer, and secured the victory, 11-8.

In case you guys don’t know, the Durham Lords is the name of the athletic squads from Durham college in Canada. And we promised you that we’d be bringing more women’s volleyball into the fray right? Well here you go. Something tells me I’m gonna have to make the trip north to Canada to see this team in person, eh, eh, eh???
