As you know we pride ourselves on not only covering the standard, delightful, high quality cheerleaders from professional and collegiate sports teams. We also like to find talent in other leagues and unexpected places.
This year, the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League have their own talented bunch of cheerleaders. In fact only a couple short weeks ago they made their debut.

This week the NBA saw three amazing plays. Two were the kind of amazing that you jaw drop and can’t stop saying wow. The other one was just funny. First we saw Lebron James leap over little John Lucas for an incredibly alley oop against the Bulls. I think people might underestimate how great that dunk was because it was IN A GAME. Think about that. Jumping over a guy like that in a game on an oop. Unreal.
Second was the Diop missed free throw. You almost have to feel bad for the guy. I mean when you shoot a foul shot that’s literally about 7 feet you’ve got some serious confidence issues. I’m sure Shaq was laughing his ass off when he saw that clip.
And then number 3, which is our choice. This dunk. I mean come on Blake Griffin. This has gotta be the dunk of the year. It’s very similar to the one he did last year on Timofy Mozgov only this one’s a bit closer to being a dunk and he’s further from the basket. Plus it’s on Kendrick Perkins who isn’t the type to let this stuff happen.
That this is occurring on a ten foot rim is incredibly disturbing.
I’ve been on this earth for nearly 33 years and in all that time I have not met one soul who has any respect for the Pro Bowl. I don’t know why. I don’t know how. I don’t know when. I just know that every football fan I know (including myself) couldn’t care less about this game. I mean I know people that watch the All-Star Games for both the NBA and MLB with a vengeance. But why does the Pro Bowl suck so bad? I just don’t get it.
Well, one thing that certainly doesn’t suck about the Pro Bowl is the All-Star squadron of cheerleaders that show up. And wouldn’t you know I have some photos of the girls performing in what appears to be a mall somewhere in Hawaii.

I’m showing this clip not to talk about how this was one of the greatest shots of all time (which it was). Nor do I really want to focus on how Laettner turned out to be a complete bust in the NBA and his subsequent attempts at coaching (not to mention why was he on the dream team?).
No I want to mention how I think that this moment in sports contained the single most lame looking reaction in the history of sport. Yes, I’m talking about the face Thomas Hill made. Good God could there be any look that’s more pathetic than that? I honestly don’t think so.
So yeah, great shot. But come on Hill, man up will ya? By the way the Hill look is in second 13.
According to CNBC,
In 2011, 26 teams had cheerleaders for games and have found ways, especially online, to generate revenue from their top cheer teams. As valuations go, NFL teams are hesitant to put a dollar figure on their cheerleading squads, but the use of cheerleaders as a vehicle for marketing is certainly in the public eye.
CNBC decided to rank NFL’s cheering squads by which team was getting the most use out of their teams. And no, not the kind of use you or I would like to get out of them. We’re talking about calendars, website pictures, events, etc etc.

I tell ya. Considering how little we ever focus on hockey on this website, you have to admit there’s some entertaining stuff that happens on the ice. I just wish the sport had more scoring. Seriously. I’m 100% convinced it’s why more Americans don’t like it. I mean how could you not like a sport that includes ice girls, real fighting that’s allowed, and guys fake kayaking on the ice?
Seriously, it’s still a mystery to me. But again, I’m convinced it’s the scoring. I personally can’t watch hockey on TV but live it’s pretty fun.
Football season may be over but there are definitely some fans out there who still haven’t posted some of their most delicious photos of the year yet. So of course we’re always on watch for new batches of fan photos, cheerleader photos, and of course juicy athlete photos.
This week we see some pictures that were captured back in September. Hell these could be featuered 15 years from now and I’d be a happy man. As I said in the title, it’s always a good time for Florida State Cheerleaders.

Hey folks. Rather than split up the fans of the week and photos of the week we figured we’d combine them to give you one nice big pile of photos to enjoy. That and I decided I wanted to write an editorial each week just to get some stuff off my chest. Whether that editorial becomes a staple on this site remains a mystery.
