Welcome to the Other

Can you even consider this a kickboxing knockout? I mean it was just a straight right to the chin and the little blonde guy was put in a coffin.

I love how the referee goes for Best Actor in a Drama series by getting on his knees and like cradling the kid after he let him resume the fight. Whyyy God? Why????

The 2012 Summer Olympics in London is only a couple months away. Today, although we may be getting a little ahead of ourselves, we are going to take a look at some “noteworthy” female athletes that will be competing at the Games.

I’ll tell you what; when I was putting this post together – I had trouble actually picking just 5. You’d be surprised how many “noteworthy” female athletes there are headed to the Olympics. It’s quite incredible.

While the fans reserve the right to offer their own opinion – here are Unathletic’s 5….

I saw this on Busted Coverage a yesterday – Absolutely brilliant. A direct ding ding shot right to the face. You could watch home run balls hit the stands for the next fifty years and you’ll never see anything as perfect as this. Dong to Face – Brilliant.

The undefeated 35-year-old boxing champ said late Saturday said he’s leaning “80-20″ toward retirement. “If it was my last fight, I gave them a bang,” Mayweather (43-0) said after his unanimous-decision (118-110, 117-111, 117-111) triumph over Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto (37-3) at MGM Grand.

I guess we’re never going to see him fight Manny Pacquaio. Oh well. Over/Under on years before he’s bankrupt – 4.5.

Of course we had to eventually post something from Jose Canseco.  After all the dude is craving attention 24/7.   But what’s funny is the response by Busted Coverage.

We honestly couldn’t have said it better ourselves.  I’m quite curious to know how good old Joe Melendez is doing right now.   What kinds of clients is he now obtaining based on this tweet?  I’m assuming it’s the same types that think they can make money with no money down real estate.

You didn’t think we’d go all this way with NFL cheerleader auditions and not include the Dolphins Cheerleaders did you?  That would be like committing some sort of cardinal sin in the pom pom world.    I tell ya sometimes I think I’m in the wrong profession.

I mean wouldn’t a photographer for like Sports Illustrated be a little more fitting?  Actually no.  I think as a heterosexual it could be the worst job in the entire world.  It’s like going on a porn set and being told “nope, you can’t have any of this, ever.”   No thanks.

I guess enjoy the pictures though….

I think the game of ‘football’ around the world is absolutely brilliant. I love the passion that fans feel for both their club and domestic teams. It really is unparalleled in the world of sports. However, at times it’s scary as a motherf$cker. In this instance, if I was Francesco Totti, I’d lay low for a little bit.

In the long list of great Olympians you have to put Jackie Joyner-Kersee up there amongst the top.   I mean when you have the most medals it pretty much solidifies your spot as one of the greatest athletes ever.   And perhaps no more memorable a jump than her final jump back in Atlanta.

She won her sixth and final Olympic medal at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.  After pulling out of the heptathlon due to injury, Joyner-Kersee focused on the long jump; her final jump of 22-11 3/4 earned her the bronze medal, making her the most decorated female athlete at the time.

This video is of her in 1988.
