Has LeBron run out of time? The answer is really no. I’d be shocked if the Heat lost Game 6. To be quite honest, I think that under most circumstances a team down 3-2, despite the fact they’re heading home, is a long shot to win, but I don’t look at the Heat as a long shot. I’ll be bold and say Heat in 7.

Rob Gronkowski is having back surgery today. That doesn’t mean he didn’t spend the time leading up to his back surgery sulking. Of course, Gronk was out partying then hamming it up a Bloomingdales. The guy has an ailment (often pretty severe or dangerous) yet continues to party his d$ck off. Crazy heart.

Why not take a little time off from work after winning the French Open? Serena Williams is by far the best tennis player in the world, and some believe she has the best bikini body in the world. It all depends if that’s your taste.

Tuukka Rask shut out the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals on Monday night and got enough help from the Bruins’ offense to do it without another exhausting overtime.

Maybe I’ve had my head up my a$$ recently, but I seemingly forgot the connection between Boston playing in the Stanley Cup and the tragic event that occurred during the Boston Marathon. With that said, I hope the B’s can bring the city of Boston some love with the Cup. No offense Chicago, but that would be right.

The 2013 Confederations Cup kicked off this weekend with hosts Brazil beating Japan, Spain hanging on vs. Uruguay, and Italy beating Mexico on a late Balotelli goal. For those of you keeping score at home – the The FIFA Confederations Cup is an international association football tournament for national teams, currently held every four years by FIFA. It is contested by the holders of each of the six FIFA confederation championships (UEFA, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, CAF, AFC, OFC), along with the FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation, to bring the number of teams up to eight.

You’ve seen the title so you know there’s good stuff in this post. Then you see you have the likes of Brazil, Spain, Italy and others and you know it’s going to be even better than you thought.

If you were taking bets on which hole might get aced this week at Merion, the 17th would probably be your last pick. The lengthy par-3 to close out the U.S. Open has played incredibly tough this week, but the tees were moved up for the final round and Shawn Stefani took full advantage of a couple of things, becoming the first player to ever make a hole-in-one during a U.S. Open hosted at Merion. Stefani hit a 4-iron on the 213 yard par-3, missing the entire green to the left but got a favorable hop, and the ball just would not stop rolling toward the cup. It disappeared, Stefani celebrated like a mad man and he has a great memory at this U.S. Open. That shot by Stefani was the 43th hole-in-one in the history of the U.S. Open and helped Stefani improve his score by 16 shots from Saturday to Sunday. [Continue Reading]

Thanks to BustedCoverage for the photo… I really don’t blame Gretzky for not wanting to be all over the news while Dustin got his ass kicked by Merion. I still don’t have faith in this couple lasting. Paulina Gretzky is a thoroughbred and Dustin Johnson seems to be a cheesed$ck.

Brazil did exactly what was expected of them on Saturday, winning their first competitive match in nearly two years in their Confederations Cup opener against Japan. Neymar scored early for the Selecao and Japan, who had a pair of World Cup qualifiers coming into the match, didn’t appear to have the energy to mount a serious comeback. Brazil went on to record a comfortable 3-0 win. Neymar started the game as an attacking midfielder, playing underneath center forward Fred. The two combined for a brilliant opener, with Fred chesting down the ball for Neymar on the edge of the penalty area. The soon-to-be Barcelona player stepped into a half-volley and drilled a perfect shot into the back of the net. [Continue Reading]

Great start for the hosts on Saturday. Clearly, I believe we are looking at the Spaniards and the Brazilians going toe-to-toe for the championship. I’m wondering if Spain will gain a significant advantage by playing in Brazil before the 2014 World Cup. You’d have to think yes.
